Meet our enthusiastic Organizers of the WordCamp Nepal 2015. Because of them, it’s happening again this year even though we all are going through tough situation. Cheers to our organizers !!!

Ujwal Thapa

Ujwal is a co-founder of WordPress Nepal network and one of the initiators of WordPress in Nepal. He is a pioneer web developer and designer in Nepal.

Roshan Bhattarai

Roshan Bhattarai is the co-founder and CTO of Proshore, a company focused on enabling online horizon for many startups. Roshan is co-owner of Styled Themes ( @styledthemes ), Mighty Themes ( @meetmighty ) and Export Feed ( @exportfeed ). He has also co-authored of PHP Ajax Cookbook http://amzn.com/1849513082. Don’t try to mess with him when @ChelseaFC looses it’s match. Ironically, he is addicted to playing badminton on daily basis.

Alina Kakshapati

Alina Kakshapati is a WordPresser since 5 yrs and developing websites for more than 6 yrs. She is now working as Product Manager in Code Pixelz Media. Free flying, energetic, happy and stylish, this is what she is and this is what relflects in her work. She likes to create websites/themes that are awesome to the eyes and are easier for the brain.

Alina has been a speaker in WordCamp 2014 and also a co-organizer of WordCamp Nepal 2015, managing content for the whole event.

Beside this, dancing is her first hobby and also she is a licensed Zumba Instructor. She also owns an online clothing store Cheeno

Suvash khadka

Suvash Khadka has been actively engaged in WordPress Nepal Community since 2012. He loves to work on WordPress and believes in giving back to the community. He is actively engaged in conducting WordPress Meetups, College Events, WordCamps in Nepal since 2012.

Beside this Suvash represents the Deputy Chief Executive of Asia @ digitALLearing, Founder of Society for Information Communication Technology Nepal (SICTN) & IT Director @ NFN, Project Manager @ Digital IT Solution & Research Center. He also lectures in IT colleges.

Utsav Singh Rathour

Utsav Singh Rathour is a WordPress enthusiast and a developer by passion. He is a complete package of developer who loves to code 27×7 and a true gunner. He works on primarily on WordPress and believes in giving back to the community. He is the CEO of Code Pixelz Media and blogs at his site http://codepixelz.com for which he tweets as @codepixelzmedia while his personal twit address is @rathour.

Chandra Maharzan

Chandra is a founder of Nhuja Concepts where he brews up unique ideas for the web. He is also a WordPress Developer and works for Graph Paper Press whose work has been recognized by big guys in the web such as WordPress.com, Mashable, Smashing Magazine and Digital Photographer. He has been interviewed by various web magazines as top WordPressers around the world. Most recently by CodePoet and HeroPress. His themes have regularly appeared as Top 10 most popular themes on WordPress.com and WordPress.org and have been used by top web companies like Mozilla.

Besides these, he is one of the active members working for the WordPress community here in Nepal. He was the lead organizer for three consecutive WordCamps and monthly WordPress meetups here in Nepal since 2011. He is also one of the co-organizers for WordCamp Nepal 2015. His main focus for the selfless community work is to send the message that people can make a healthy living via WordPress and there are other alternatives than just going abroad with one reason or the other.

He believes in the theory that if more people are into developing platforms like WordPress, more jobs we can pull into Nepal which will eventually create more jobs for other Nepalis. We will be creating entrepreneurs and this will itself be one big industry. This could, then, lead to a big sigh of relief in the country’s ever going downward economy…. and this is not limited to theory at this point, ithas already started to gain momentum.

Sakin Shrestha

Sakin Shrestha is the Founder of Catch Internet Pvt. Ltd. The company is known to build world class WordPress sites and products such as Catch Themes and Devote Press.

Sakin is the lead organizer at WordCamp Nepal 2015. He’s been hacking into WordPress for 8 years now! He contributes as Key Reviewer to the WordPress Theme Review team, develops free themes and free Plugins for WordPress.org, translates WordPress to Nepali, speaks at WordCamp and WordPress Meetups and contributes to core. When you don’t find him working on WordPress, he is mostly busy blogging, biking, taking photographs, traveling or playing the Guitar!

Sweta Shrestha

Sweta has been contributing to theme reviews at Catch Themes for over a year, and loves her work. A graduate of Information Management, Sweta chose technology for a career and hasn’t looked back since. In college, she enjoyed writing html code, and working on web design and layout. At Catch Themes she puts her experience with design, php, html, and css to good use as a theme reviewer. Sweta has understood the basics of theme development and code well, and is confident that she can work on theme development in the future.

Sweta is also a key contributor to WordCamp Nepal 2015, overseeing the financial aspect of the whole event.

Sweta was inspired by her husband to work in technology. She loves that her job allows her to learn something new, and inspires her every day.

Yam Bahadur Chhetri

Yam is the Co-founder/Project Manger at Web Experts Nepal, which is know as one the best outsourcing and custom WordPress site Development Company.

He is in-charge of volunteers, management, hospitality, and after parties. He is one of the most active members of WordPress Nepal community. He has been actively organizing WordPress meetups, workshops and advocating WordPress with his clients and colleagues.
